being considered desirable to shorten the usance of Bills drawn in India and China on Europe, the undersigned hereby give notice that from 1st January, 1867, their Branches and Agencies in the East, will only buy and sell Bills of Exchange at a term uot exceeding four months' sight.
The undersigned further give notice that they will purchase Bills of Exchauge, drawn under Credits, only when the Credits contain a distinct engagement with the holders of the Bills to accept the saine.
