His Excellency the ACTING GOVERNOR and all the Members, except Mr. WHITTALL, absent from
pressure of business.
The Council met to-day by special Summons.
The Minutes of the Council held on the 23rd February, were read and approved.
The Bill for the amendment of the Companies' Ordinance 1865, was read a second time, and the
Council went into Committee upon the said Bill.

The bill having gone through Committce, the ACTING GOVERNOR put the Question,- That this Bill do pass, and that the Title be "An Ordinance to amend The Companies' "Ordinance 1865.'"
Debate ensued.

The ACTING GOVERNOR put the Question,-That this Bill do pass, and that the Title be "An Ordinance to enable Companies existing at the Time of the Commencement of The Compa- "nies' Ordinance 1865', or thereafter formed under any other Ordinance or Letters Patent, to
‘register under the said Ordinance.”

The Council then adjourned sine die.
