TRANSLATION.
NOTICE TO MARINERS.
The Rear Admiral Commanding His N. M.'s Naval Forces, and Chief of the Marine Department, in Netherlands India, brings to the notice of those interested that three Lights have been erected in Riouw Straits which will burn in future, regularly from Sunset to Sunrise and together with the Revolving Light on the Pedro-Branca Rocks will insure a safe navigation through the Straits at night.
The Lights are stationary, white, and in the following positions
1. On the Island Klein Karras, 36 Dutch Mètres-39 Yards Engl. above the level of the Sea visible at 2 Germ. geo. miles=8 Engl. miles from South 56° 15′ West, to South 33° 45′ West.
2. In the centre of the Island Terkoelei 12.5 Dutch Mètres 13 Yards, 12 inches Engl. above ordinary high water mark, illuminating the whole horizon for a distance of 2 Germ. geo. 8 Engl. miles.
3. On the Eastern point of the Island Saöe, 36 Dutch Metrès-39 Yards Engl. high, visible at a distance of 2 Germ. geo. 8 Engl. miles from North 30°, West to South 30° West.
