Tenders will be received at this Office up to Noon of Wednesday, the 20th instant, for the Privilege of preparing and selling Prepared Opium within this Colony for One Year from the 1st of April next, under the conditions set forth in Ordinance No. 2 of 1858.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that the Central School is open to all, irrespective of Nationality, who are willing to study both English and Chinese.

Applicants for admission, not Chinese, are requested to send in their Names to the Head Master not later than Friday the 1st proximo, if possible, and as soon afterwards as practicable.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The New Edition of the Ordinances of Hongkong having been received from home, and placed according to Clause 5 of No. 7 of 1864 in the Colonial Treasury, it is hereby notified that for the convenience of the Public copies of the same reserved for sale are deposited with Mr. D. Noronha, the Government Printer, from whom they may be obtained at the cost of $5 a Copy.

A-List of Errata is prepared, and will be issued gratis to the purchaser of each Copy.
