The following Letter from Her Majesty's Acting Consul at Bangkok is published for general information.

BRITISH CONSULATE, BANGKOK, 26th December, 1867.
SIR, I have the honor to inform Your Excellency, at the same time requesting that you will be pleased to make it generally known in the Port of Hongkong, that the Siamese Government, under date the 17th instant, issued that vessels entering the Bangkok River will from the 1st of January, 1868, be permitted to retain their guns on would, instead of discharging them at Palpam as required by the-General Trade Regulations attached to the British Treaty with Siam, but they will still be required as heretofore-to and all their Gunpowder at Paknam under penalty of being sent back, and fined Eight hundred Ticals. GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Tenders will be received at this Office, until Noon on the 17th Proximo, for the erection of Officers' Quarters for the Harbor Master's Department.
Plans and Specification may be seen at the Surveyor General's Office, where also a proper Form of Tender may be obtained.

Tenders will be received at this Office, till Noon on the 3rd Proximo, for the construction of a Sea Wall, and Reclamation from the Sea, West of the Harbor Master's Office.
