On the 26th January, being the licensed owner of a certain First- class Cargo-boat, 1st. Did on board the said Boat have unlawful possession of 14 picul of Hemp. 2nd. Did unlawfully make alter- ations in the fore bulkhead of said boat by cutting holes therein, for the purpose of facilitating the fraudulent concealment of goods.
On the 22nd February, for con- structing a false bulkhead on board his Cargo-boat for the purpose of facilitating the fraudulent concealment of goods.
Fined $25, in default 2 months' hard la- bor.

On the 20th April, for taking
employment as a without having a License Ticket from the Registrar General.
On the 24th April, for attempting to break open a chest of Opium on board said Boat No. 164, with intent to steal Opium therefrom.
2nd, having a false bulkhead on board said Boat for conceal- ing stolen goods.
On the 11th August, for having a false bulkhead fitted on board the Licensed Cargo- boat No. 165, for the purpose of concealing stolen cargo.
On the 5th September, for having unlawful possession of 20 bags of Rice on board the Li- censed Cargo-boat No. 161.
6 days' imprison-
ment.
To be imprisoned for six months with hard labor, and to be twice kept in solitary confine- ment for seven days.
