GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

In reference to Government Notification No. 116 of the 20th October, 1868, it is hereby further notified that a Communication (10th November, 1868), from Vice-Admiral the Honorable SIR HENRY KEPPEL, K.C.B., has since been received, stating that the National Distinguishing Flag of Chinese War Vessels--as recognised by H. M. Naval Authorities-would, pending a final arrangment, be a Square and not a Three Cornered Flag as described in the Admiral's letter printed in the Government Notification of last October.

This alteration having been reported to H. M. Government and provisionally approved, notice thereof is hereby given to all whom it may concern.
