GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The following Telegram, received from Galle, is published for general information.

"A new light at Perim about to be set up. During change the stationary light from the Aden light-ship will be substituted and placed on the flagstaff at Perim about one hundred and fifty yards due East of old light. This temporary light will be erected on or about the twenty-sixth October be visible from a distance of ten miles. A smaller light will be substituted or the Aden light-ship to replace that sent to Perim."

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

His Excellency Major-General WHITFEILD, Commanding Her Majesty's Troops in China and Japan, and Lieutenant-Governor of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, has been pleased to appoint CHARLES VANDELEUR CREAGH, Esquire, to be Assistant Superintendent of the Hongkong Fire Brigade; such appointment to take effect from the 19th Instant, inclusive.

NOT! GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Tenders for Contracts for the supply of the Articles, included in the undermentioned Schedules, to the Government Civil and Lock Hospitals, for the space of One Year commencing on the 26th of December, 1870, will be received at this Office until Noon of the 1st of December, 1870.

Schedule 1, Provisions.

Do. 2, Medical Comforts.

Do.

3, Bedding and Clothing.

Do.

4, Miscellaneous.

Tenders may be made for all four Schedules, or for each separately.

The Contractor will be required to enter into a Bond for the due fulfilment of his Contract, and for the supply of all Articles of the best quality.

Tenders must be in Duplicate, and in sealed envelopes, endorsed "Tender for Hospital Contracts." Forms of Tender, and all other information may be obtained from the Superintendent of the Government Civil Hospital.
