It is hereby notified that, for the ensuing 12 Months from the 1st July, 1870, the Western ter House, at a monthly Rental of $1,024, and the Eastern Slaughter House, at a monthly of $406, are held by MAK-KAM TIN, of Victoria, Hongkong, Trader.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The Reverend CANON BEACH, M.A., Colonial Chaplain of Hongkong, having been granted Six ths' Leave of Absence from the 14th instant, Ilis Excellency Major-General WHITFEILD, anding Her Majesty's Troops in China and Japan, and Lieutenant-Governor of Hongkong and Dependencies, has been pleased to appoint the Reverend Joux PIPER to net as Colonial Chaplain. visionally, and until further notice.
