GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Tenders for the purchase of the Colonial Steam Schooner Victoria will be received at this Office. until Noon of the 18th Proximo.
The particulars are:--
Length, 119 feet 5 inches. Breadth, 20 feet 2 inches. Depth, 9 feet 6 inches.
Gross Tonnage,-182.67.
Rig,-Fore Topsail Schooner.
Armament,-2 Brass 24 pounder Howitzers; Shot, Shell, &c., Rifles, Cutlasses.
Horse Power Nominal,-40 Horses.
Two Direct Acting Condensing Engines by J. & A. BLYTH, of London, constructed in 1869, with a full set of spare Gear, including Propeller.
- The Victoria was built at Hongkong in 1869 of the best Materials; she is fitted with Downton's Pump, Patent Capstan, and all modern improvements; is complete in Anchors, Chains, Boats, &c., &c.
An Inventory can be seen, and any particulars obtained, on application to the Harbor Master. The right of rejecting all or any Tenders is reserved.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Crown Lesses are informed that the Crown Rents for the "Half Year" terminating 24th June, 1870, are payable into the Treasury, on or before the 15th July, next.
The attention of Crown Lessees is drawn to the Second Clause of Ordinance No. 9 of 1869, which Clause specifies that in Default in the Payment of Crown Rents, such arrears may be sued for by the Colonial Treasurer in the Court of Summary Jurisdiction, and a Certificate under the hand of the Treasurer, setting forth the particulars of the sum payable to the Crown and then overdue shall be "Prima facie" evidence of the Facts certified by the Treasurer.
Crown Lessees are therefore informed that all Crown Rents in arrear after the 15th of July. next, will be sued for in accordance with the Provisions of the Clause and Ordinance specified above.
