GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
The following NOTICE approved by His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL, C.B., in Council, is published for general information.

Notice is hereby given that this Government is prepared to receive Tenders for the Houses to be Licensed for Public Gambling in this Colony.
The Monthly Fees are fixed at $13,340, and the Licensees will be bound by the Rules and Regulations made by the Governor in Council, on and since the 12th September, 1868, and of which, Copies can be obtained from the Registrar General's Office, and by such other Rules as may from time to time be adopted by the Governor in Council.
Persons tendering must hand in to the Registrar General on or before Noon of the 24th instant, a List shewing the Names, Occupations, and Residences of all those proposing to share in the Licenses. Due enquiry having been then made, those not considered valid or satisfactory will be set aside by the Governor in Council, and lots will then be drawn among the remaining competitors.
The successful Tenderer will take charge of the Licensed Houses on the 1st proximo.
