The undersigned is directed by the Commissioner of Customs to publish the following Report from the Chief Coast Lights' Engineer.
ALBERT CROAD.
Acting Harbour Master.
On the 1st of July, the Sha-wei-shan Island Light, Latitude N. 31°24′30′′, Longitude E. 122°14′15′′, was duly saibited. The apparatus is a catadioptric one of the First Order, showing a Fixed White Light all round the horizon. The Fght has its centre: 229 feet above high water, and, in clear weather, it will be visible 22 nautical miles. The Tower, which +39 feet in height from base to vane, is painted black, whilst the Lightkeepers' dwellings are painted white.

POST OFFICE NOTICE.

It having been fond necessary to change the color of the 30 cent Postage Stamp, it is herchy ified that the new color Stamp will be brought into use on the 14th instant, the Stamps of the color already issued will, of course, be available for the payment of postage, but no further issue the old 80 cent Stamps will be made from this Office after the 13th instant, or from the Postal Agencies at the Ports of China and Japan after the 31st instant.
