The following Report from the Superintendent of the Hongkong Fire Brigade, is published for general information.

FIRE BRIGADE OFFICE, HONGKONG, 9th June, 1871. SIR,-I have the honor to submit, for the information of His Excellency The Lieutenant-Governor, the Keport of the Government Fire Brigade for the month of May ultimo.

Owing to the continuous rainy weather during the middle of the month, the usual half-monthly Inspection was not held.

A Parade and Inspection was had on the 31st May. The assembly took place at the Cross Roads st 4.30 P.M., and from thence the Steam and Hand Engines were taken to the Queen's Road near Circular Buildings and brought into work from the mains: all were found in good order.

Three Hand Engines owned by Chinese Associations were present, and worked satisfactorily.

SIR, I transmit to you for your information, and for the guidance of all whom it may concern, copies of an Order in Council for the regulation of the form and type to be used in the printing the Cases, Records, and Proceedings in Appeals, and other matters pending before the Lords of the dicial Committee of the Privy Council.

I have to instruct you to give publicity to this Order in Council throughout the Colony under Pur Government.—I have the honor to be, Sir, Your most obedient humble Servant,
