The following Report from the Superintendent of the Hongkong Fire Brigade, is published for general information.

FIRE BRIGADE OFFICE, HONGKONG, 5th May, 1871.
SIR,--I have the honor to forward, for the information of His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, he Report of the Government Fire Brigade for the months of March and April, 1871.
In consequence of the Fire at Bonham Strand on the 16th March, the usual monthly Engine practice was not carried out; there was an Inspection of Engines, Hose, and Equipment generally on he 31st March, and all were found clean and in order.

On the 18th April there was an Inspection and Parade of the Government and Volunteer Fire Brigades. The assembly took place at the Cross Roads at 4 P.M.; three Hand Engines owned by Chinese Associations were present.
The Steam and Hand Engines were taken to the Praya near Cleverley Street and all brought to work from the Sea, the practice was satisfactory and the Engines were back in their respective Stations it or before 5 minutes to 5 P.M.
Au Inspection of the Government Fire Brigade was held at 5 P.M. on the 29th April. The Steam and Hand Engines, Hose-reels, Hose in use and in store, Ladders and Equipment were examined and ound clean and in order.
