HYDROGRAPHIC NOTICE. [No. 34.] INDIAN OCEAN.
Eastern Archipelago.
The following information has been received from IIer Majesty's Consul at Batavia, 1870.*

BATAVIA ROADS.—The following changes have been made in the buoyage of this roadstead :--
The beacon with ball lately standing on the northern Struisvogel rock has been removed, and a white beacon buoy moored in its place. The convex busy of the Neerstuk has been replaced by two white buoys moored on the north-west and south-east points of the
A vond black buoy has been placed on the south-east point of the Neptunus reef.

SOUTH-EAST COAST OF BORNEO.--The Coinmanding officer of the Dutch Steamship Cochoorn reports that during her the south-east coast of Borneo, the vessel struck on a sandbank hitherto unknown. There is 12 feet water on the bank, and given is lat. 8° 57′ 39′′ S., and long. 115° 25′ E.
The Commander of the steamship Betsy reports having struck on a reef with 15 feet water, near the southern entrance of Pulo Laut From the reef the point of lagatan bore N.E. 4 E., and Capo Kandang W. S.; the position given is in lat. 3° 47′ 45′′ S., and

BANDA SEA-The Captain of the Dutch brig Docsborgh has reported a shoal lying N.W., distant 5 miles from Nila, one of the boowatty Islands; particulars not stated.
