POST OFFICE NOTICE.
It is hereby notified that arrangements have been completed under which the British Contract Mails for the United Kingdom will be conveyed between Alexandria and Brindisi by British Packet, instead of by Italian Packet, the Packets of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company being withdrawn from Marseilles for the purpose.
The rates of postage chargeable on correspondence sent via Brindisi from Hongkong and the British Post Office Agencies in China and Japan by British Mail Packet to and through the United Kingdom will henceforth be as follows, viz:---
For Letters.

The subjoined Post Office Notice, is published for general information.

POST OFFICE NOTICE.

It is hereby notified that arrangements have been completed under which correspondence from Hongkong may be forwarded to Nagasaki via Shanghae, and to Hiogo via Yokohama, by United States' Mail Packets, and that Letters for Hongkong and places beyond Hongkong, may be forwarded from Nagasaki and Hiogo by means of the United States' Packets viâ Shanghae and Yokohama respectively.
The rates of postage chargeable on such correspondence is four cents for each half-ounce on Letters, two cents on cach Newspaper, and two cents on each two ounces of Books and Packets of Samples of Merchandize, in addition to the Rates specified in the Table of Rates of Postage at present in force.
