GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office, until Noon on Thursday, the 19th Instant, for the making up and supply of the undermentioned Winter Clothing for the use of the Police Department, viz:-

20 Fine Blue Cloth Suits for Inspectors, Jemadars, &c.

320 Blue Cloth Suits for Europeans and Indians.

300 Serge Suits for Chinese.

120 Turbans.

300 Chinese Hats.

300 Pairs Chinese Shoes.

170 Pairs Chinese Stockings.

Blue Cloth with Buff for Facings will be supplied from the Police Store, as also the Serge for the Chinese Force and materials for Turbans.

No Tender will be received unless the Person tendering shall produce a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such Person shall refuse to carry out his Tender.

Form of Tender and any further information can be obtained on application at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police.

No Tender will be received unless sent in the Form required.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any Tender.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint provisionally Assistant Surgeon F. E. SCANLAN, H. M. 10th Regiment, to be Superintendent of the Civil Hospital, and Surgeon of the Lock Hospital, vice YOUNG resigned.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Tenders will be received at this Office, till Noon of Monday the 16th instant, for the erection of a Police Guard House at Hung Ham, Kowloon.

The Plan and Specification can be seen, and further information obtained, on application at the Surveyor General's Office.

A Proper form of Tender must be applied for at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any Tender.
