Packet a week later may catch the Mauritius Mail at Aden, but is too close to be depended on. Answers from Mauritius a fortnight later than the dates given above for answers from Melbourne. A fast private steamer leaving Hongkong within 24 hours may catch the French Mail at Singapore. The P. & O. steamer next following should catch the Torres Straits Packet at Singapore.
