POST OFFICE NOTICE.
Arrangements have been made for the Registration of Correspondence exchanged between the United States of America and this Colony by Pacific Mail Packets, and the Packets of the Occidental and Oriental Steam Ship Company.
The Registration Fee will be 8 cents for each letter, over and above the Postage. This fee, as well as the Postage, must be prepaid.
No letters can be Registered after 2 P.M. on the day of departure of the Mail.
Letters for the United States and Japan may be Registered by the Alaska's Mail on the 15th instant.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.
1. The highest bidder above the upset price shall be the Purchaser, and if any dispute arise, the Lot shall be put up again at a former bidding.
2. No person shall at any bidding advance less than $5.
3. Immediately after the fall of the hammer, the Purchaser shall sign the Memorandum of Agree- ment hereinafter contained for completing the purchase according to these conditions, and shall within Three Days of the day of Sale pay into the Colonial Treasury the full amount of Premium at which the Lot shall have been knocked down.
4. The Purchaser of each Lot shall be entitled to and shall execute on demand a Lease from the Crown of the Piece or Parcel of Ground comprised in such Lot for 14 Years terminable at the expiration of 7 Years, to be computed from the 25th day of June, 1875, at such Annual Rental payable half-yearly on the 24th day of June, and the 25th day of December in every Year as is specified in the Particulars of such Lot hereinbefore contained; and such Crown Lease shall be subject to and contain all Exceptions, Reservations, Covenants, Clauses, and Conditions inserted in the Crown Lease of Garden Lots in the Colony of Hongkong.
5. The Purchaser of every Lot shall pay to the Surveyor General on behalf of Her Majesty The QUEEN, a Fee of $5 upon the execution of the Crown Lease thereof.
