PROCLAMATION.
[L.S.] J. GARDINER AUSTIN.
By His Excellency JOHN GARDINER AUSTIN, Administrator and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Whereas by Section IX of Ordinance No. 8 of 1875, entitled-An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Flongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, for licensing small Passenger Steamers and for other purposes,it is enacted as follows:
"This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be hereafter proclaimed by the Governor, "and
may be cited for all purposes as "The Steam-Launch Ordinance, 1875:
"
Now, therefore, I, JOHN GARDINER AUSTIN, Administrator of the Colony of Hongkong, in pursuance of the said Section and by virtue of the Authority thereby in me vested, do hereby under my Hand Proclaim, that the said Ordinance shall commence and take effect on and from the Second Day of August, 1875.

ORDER
Made by His Excellency the Administrator in Council, this 24th day of July, 1875,
under the provisions of Section II of Ordinance No. 17 of 1870.
The fee for a Passport issued under the Hand of the Governor shall, until further notice, be Two Dollars.
