GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
His Excellency Governor SIR ARTHUR EDWARD KENNEDY, K.C.M.G., C.B., having this day departed for England on leave of absence, it is hereby notified that, in accordance with Instructions received from Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, and under Provision made by the Royal Charter of Hongkong, this Government will be administered by the undersigned until further order.
