Gulf of Siam Patani Light.

THE Light at Lem Patani, which has for the last years worked irregularly, has now been put in order.

Position.--Lat. 6° 56'8' N., Long. 101° 18′0′ E.

Description.Wooden structure.

Height of Light.--30 Meters above High Water. Character of Light.-Fixed white.

Illuminated Arc. The whole horizon.

Visibility-10 Miles.

Gulf of Siam Langsuan.

Buoy disappeared.

THE South inner patch buoy at Langsuan has disappeared. To mark the position of the missing buoy, a stake with a flag on top has temporarily been placed on the southern end of the shoal.

Gulf of Siam-Shoal in vicinity of Patani roads.

ON Surveying at Patani H.M.S. Liu Taley has found an uncharted shoal, lying about N.W. of Towa river, at a distance of approximately 2,000 Meters from nearest shore. The shoal has an extent of 3,000 Meters in the direction E.-W., of 70 Meters in the direction N.-S., and at lowest water there is only a depth of 12 Meter, where the chart indicates 2 fathoms or more.

Position in Engl. Adm. Chart No. 998 of the top of the shoal :

Lat. 6° 53′ 15′′ N.

Long. 101° 10' 10" E.

Chart affected:-Engl. Adm. Chart Nos. 998, 2414.
