No. S. 81.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Quarters for Scavenging Coolies, Belchers Street," will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 12th day of April, 1920.

The work consists of the erection of a block of Quarters for Scavenging Coolies containing Dormitories, Mess Rooms, Bath Rooms, Latrines, etc., Quarters for Head Fore- man and Cart Store in Basement.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification, and further particulars, apply at this Office. The Governinent does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

RABAUL-Information with regard to Lighting.

THE following information has been received from the Administrator at Rabaul :

On and after 1st February, 1920, two red fixed lights, twenty-six feet above high water, will be shown from cargo shed main wharf, Rabaul, one east and one west end of shed, and will be visible only to southward. At west end of wharf shed at height of twenty-six feet above high water a white fixed light will be exhibited which will not show east of line drawn north and south. Lights will be exhibited between sunset and sunrise with visibility about one mile. Three lights formerly shown from end of wharf discontinued from that date. Temporary light formerly shown. from Matupi Point discontinued from 1st January, 1920.
