ed herein, but it is to be understood that in case of variance in the sense of the English and Chi- nese versions, the sense of the English text must

At a Dinner and Reception at Government
House on the 3rd of May, after the toast of the "Her Majesty the QUEEN," which was duly
honoured in the usual way, the band playing
