EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

No. 561. In pursuance and by virtue of the Foreshores and Sea Bed Ordinance, 1901, the Governor in Council has this day declared that it is expedient that a Crown Lease of the Foreshore and Sea Bed and Crown Land covered with water situate at Lai Chi Kok in the Colony of Hongkong particularly described in Government Notifica- tion No. S. 241 of 1920 as New Kowloon Marine Lot No. 8 be granted for the purpose of reclamation and building and in view of the requirements of manufactures and commerce at the rent upon the terms and subject to the conditions contained in the said Govern- ment Notification No. S. 241 of 1920.

Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 5 of the Ferries Ordi- nance, 1917, Ordinance No. 28 of 1917, this 18th day of November, 1920.

APPLICATION OF SECTION 3 OF THE FERRIES ORDINANCE, 1917.

1.-(1.) It is hereby declared that on and after the 1st day of April, 1921, section 3 of the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, shall apply to the area bounded by the following lines and by the coast lines between the terminal points of those lines:

East.--The Western Entrance of Lyeemun.

West. A straight line drawn from the Harbour Office to Blackhead's Point.

(2.) This declaration shall not have the effect of prohibiting the maintenance of any ferry between any single point within the said area and any point or points outside the said area.

APPLICATION OF THE REGULATIONS.

2. The Regulations made by the Governor in Council on the 30th day of May, 1918, and published in the Gazette of the 31st day of May, 1918, by Government Notification No. 204 hereinafter referred to as "the principal Regulations" are hereby declared to apply to the area specified in Regulation 1 hereof with the following modifications and exceptions, viz. :--

(a.) The following is substituted for Sections IX and X of Regulation 13 of the

principal Regulations:--

"IX. The service provided by the said schedule shall provide for not less than one departure every 45 minutes daily from each of the following piers between 5.15 a.m. and 6 p.m. :

The Keng Shan Wharf, Victoria.

Hung Hom Ferry Wharf.

Kowloon City Wharf.

Shaukiwan Wharf or Saiwanho Wharf."

(b.) The following rates are substituted for the rates set out in Regulation 14 of

the principal Regulations:-

"14. The licencee of the aforesaid ferry or group of ferries may demand and take for every passenger fares not exceeding the following

rates:-

15 cents.
