17. A driver shall not allow his vehicle to obstruct a vehicle or person on a road or a car on a tramway.

18. A driver shall not be in such a position, while his vehicle is on a road, that ho has not full control over such vehicle, and any animal that may be drawing it.

19. A driver shall not drive a vehicle recklessly or negligently or at a speed or in a manner which is dangerous to the public, having regard to all the circumstances of the case, including the nature, condition, and use of the road, and to the amount of traffic which is or might reasonably be expected to be in such road.

20. A driver shall not drive a vehicle in such a way as to cause damage to a roadway.

21. A driver shall not drive a vehicle carrying a load in such a manner that any part of such load touches the roadway.

22. A driver shall not propel a vehicle in such a manner that any part of the vehicle other thau the wheels touches the road.

23. Except with the permission in writing of the Captain Superintendent of Police, a driver shall not drive or place any wheeled vehicle in Battery Path, or in the paths adjoining Battery Path, or in Findlay Path at the Peak.

24. A driver shall drive on the left side of the road.

25. A driver when driving a fast moving vehicle shall drive in the left centre of the road.

26. A driver when driving a slow moving vehicle shall keep close to the left side of the road.

27. A driver shall pass on the right side any vehicle, other than a tram-car, which he overtakes. A driver may pass a tram-car on either side provided that the road is clear ahead.

28. A driver shall promptly obey all directions and signals which may be given by any Police Officer in uniform for the purpose of regulating traffic.

29. A driver shall, when called upon so to do, produce his licence for inspection by any Police Officer in uniform.

30. If a vehicle comes into collision with any vehicle, person, animal, or thing, the driver shall stop the vehicle for such reasonable time as may in the circumstances be deemed to be necessary. He shall when called upon produce his driver's licence and give to any aggrieved party his name and address and also the name and address of the owner of the vehicle.

31. When descending an incline a driver of any vehicle shall apply the brakes in such a manner as will prevent the vehicle from getting out of control.

Drivers of Public Vehicles.

32. A driver of a public vehicle shall be photographed at the public expense. One copy of the photograph shall be attached to the driver's licence and one copy shall be retained by the Captain Superintendent of Police.

33. A driver of a public vehicle shall wear upon his left arm a badge, which will be issued to him by the Captain Superintendent of Police.

34. A driver of a public vehicle shall, while plying for hire :-

(a) travel with reasonable speed;

(b) be properly dressed to the satisfaction of the Captain Superintendent of

Police;
