NOTICE is hereby given that a Petition
was on the 3rd day of June 1907 pre- sented to The Supreme Court of Hongkong by the above named Company to confirm a Special Resolution of the Company unani- mously passed at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Company held on the 27th day of April 1907 and subsequently unani. mously confirmed at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Company held on the 14th day of May 1907 and which Resolution runs as follows:-
1. That clause 3 of the Memorandum of Association be altered by inserting after the words "the objects for which the Company is established are" the words Sub-clause A ". and by adding at the end of “Sub-clanse A new Sub-clauses to be lettered B and C.

B. To insure against loss or damage by fire all houses and all other buildings and erectious, treasure. household furniture, goods, wares, merchandise, chattels and effects whatsoever in Hongkong, China, Japan or else- where and the pursuit of the business of fire insurance generally and the doing of such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attain- ment of the above objects.
C. To re-insure any risk in whole or in
part.
And notice is further given that the said Petition is directed to be heard before The Honourable Sir FRANCIS PIGGOTT Kt. Chief Justice of Hongkong on Tuesday the 2nd day of July 1907 at 10.30 a.m., and any person interested in the said Company whether as Creditor Policy Holder or otherwise desirous to oppose the making of an Order for the confirmation of the said Resolution under the above Ordinance should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his Counsel for the purpose and a copy of the said Petition will be furnished to any such person requiring the same by the Company's Solicitors Messrs, JOHNSON, STOKES & MASTER, No. 8. Des Vœux Road Central, Victoria, Hongkong, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

OTICE is hereby given that His Honour the Chief Justice has in virtue of Section 58 of Ordinance No. 2 of 1897 made an Order limiting to the 12th day of August 1907, as the time for Creditors to send in their claims against the Estate of WEI ON late of Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong Solicitor deceased who died on the 19th day of May 1907 at the Government Civil Hospital Vic- toria aforesaid and Letters of Administration were granted by the aforesaid Court on the 8th day of June 1907 to LEE AH SZ of No. 18 Gage Street Victoria aforesaid, Widow, the natural and lawful mother of the said de- reased.
NOTICE is also given that all such claims are to be sent in writing to the undersigned prior to the said 12th day of August 1907 or no notice will be taken of them.
All persons indebted to the above Estate are requested to make immediate payment to ¦ the undersigned.

NOTICE is hereby given that an Exim
ordinary General Meeting of The YANGTSZE INSURANCE ASSOCIATION, LIM- ITED, will be held at the Association's Hend Office, No. 26 The Bund, Shanghai, on Friday the 28th day of June 1907 at 4.30 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of considering. and, if thought fit, passing certain ordinary resolutions (for the purpose of increasing the Capital of the Association) contained in a Notice, copies of which have already been posted to the shareholders.
Notice is hereby also given that the transfer books of the Association will be closed from the 25th to the 28th June 1907 both days inclusive.

“五盛昌 meaning Ng
Shing Cheung"; above, the words Ng Shing Cheung; and below, the
Chinese characters “金錢”
meaning Gold Cash ". A Rose is depicted at the two top corners of the design and two tassels are attached to the bottom of the Coin, in the name of the said NG SHING CHEUNG who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof.
The Trade Mark is intended to be used by the Applicants in respect of the following respectively, viz. :--- goods respectively in the following classes
Class 14 in respect of Buttons made of precious Metals or imitations thereof ; and in
Class 50 (8) in respect of Buttons of all kinds other than of precious metals or imitations thereof.

The distinctive device of a peculiar five pointed star with a circular hole in the centre within a circle and the words Hokkaido Tanko Kisen Kai- sha" between the said circle and two outer circles,

The Trade Mark has been used by the Ap- plicants in respect of Coal, in Class 4.
