GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION-No. 428.
Separate tenders for the supply of the undermentioned Articles, for the use of Victoria Gaol, Hongkong, from the 21st November, 1889, to the 20th November, 1890, inclusive, will be received at this Office, until Noon of Monday, the 4th November, 1889.
No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $400, as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to carry out his tender.

GRUEL. Each pint to contain 2 oz. Oatmeal, I oz. Molasses, and sufficient Salt. Cocos.—Each pint to contain 2 oz. Flake Cocoa or Nibs, 1 oz. Molasses or Sugar. SUET PUDDING.-To every pound, 11⁄2 oz. Suet, 63 oz. Flour, 8 oz. Water. CURRY STUFF.Chillies 31⁄2 drs., Pepper 11⁄2 drs., Turmeric
