3. No proceedings of any kind civil or criminal shall indemnity. be brought or commenced for or by reason of or in respect of any such act, order, ruling, decrée, judgment, or sentence done pronouneed, given, made, delivered, or passed by the said ALFRED GASCOYNE WISE Esquire while purporting to hold the office of Puisue Judge as aforesaid of the Supreme Court of this Colony against the said ÅLFRED GASCOINE WIsh Esquire; nor for, or by reason of, or in respect of, anything doue or purported to be done under any such act, order, ruling, decree, judgment, or sentence, as aforesaid against any other person, which proceedings could not have been brought or commenced if the said ALFRED Gascoyne WISE Esquire had not temporarily accepted raken and performed the said office of Attorney General as aforesaid: and the said ALFRED GASCOYNE Wise Esquire, and any person by whom anything has been done or par- ported to be done as aforesaid shall be and are hereby declared to be freed acquitted diselurged and indemnified as well against the King's Most Gracions Majesty His Heirs and Successors as against all and every person or persons whomsoever, in respect of all such matters as aforesaid, but, to the same extent only and in like mamuer as if the said ALFRED GASCOYNE WISE Esquire had not temporarily accepted taken and performed the said office of Attomey General as aforesaid.
4. The pension of the said ALFRED GasCorNE WISE Pension Esquire as such Puisne Judge shall be deemed to have and salary, continued to accrue and his salary as such Puisne Judge shall be deemed to have continued to be due and all pay- ments of such salary made up to this date to have been Jawfully made in like manner as if the said ALFRED GASCOYNE WISE Esquire had not temporarily accepted taken and performed the said office of Attorney General as aforesaid.
