GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.-- No. 370.

Information has been received from Her Majesty's Consul at Canton that the Viceroy of the Two Kuang has notified him that, in consequence of the state of hostilities now existing between China and Japan, Chinese men-of-war will be stationed at the Bogue to search vessels passing in, and that shipmasters are warned that they must stop on approaching these men-of-war.

The Viceroy has further notified the Consul that the men-of-war will be stationed at the Boguc at a place called Sha Kok Hau Mun (b), and will show a square Red Flag at the fore by day and three Red Lights by night.
