COLLINSON REACH BARRIER LIGHT-STATION.

Characteristics of Fog Signal to be Temporarily Changed.

NOTICE is hereby given that the characteristics of the fog signal at Collinson Reach Barrier (steamer passage) Light-station, Canton River, have been temporarily changed whilst the apparatus is undergoing repairs and until further notice will be as follows:- In response to the sound of a vessel's fog signal a bell will be struck four times in quick succession about every 30 seconds until the vessel has finally passed and cleared the station.

Yangtze River-Tungchow Channel.

Buoys Moved-Buoy Withdrawn-Buoy Established.

REFERRING to Special Notice to Mariners No. 548, notice is hereby given that the following alterations have been made in the buoyage of the Tungchow Channel, Yangtze River:-

The Reach Buoy has been moved, and from the new position of the Buoy, Plover Point Beacon bears S. 33° 40′ E., distant 5:54 miles, its charac- teristics remaining unchanged.

The Central Buoy has been moved, and from the new position of the Buoy, Fushan Pagoda bears S. 78° W., distant 6'82 miles, its characteristics remaining unchanged..

The Bank Buoy has been moved, and from the new position of the Buoy, Fushan. Pagoda bears S. 664° W., distant 5'64 miles, its characteristics remaining

unchanged.

The Turning Buoy has been moved, and from the new position of the Buoy, Fushan Pagoda bears S. 524° W., distant 5-24 miles, its characteristics remaining unchanged.

The Upper Crossing Buoy has been discontinued.

A black Buoy, surmounted by a black spherical daymark, and to be known as the Pagoda Buoy, has been established to mark the western side of the northern approach to the Tungchow Channel. From the Buoy, Lang-- shan Pagoda bears N. 49° E., distant 4:13 miles.

All bearings given are magnetic.
