No. S. 292.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Repairs to Steam-Launch 'G.P.O. I'", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 17th day of October, 1919.

A list of work may be obtained at the Government Marine Surveyor's Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

POLICE DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 293.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for construction of a new hull to replace the old hull of the Steam-Launch "Hapag", will. be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office unti Noon of Friday, the 17th day of October, 1919.

Specifications should be enclosed with the tender.

Length overall 62′ 0′′.

Breadth extreme 10' 9".

Depth moulded 6' 9".

The hull to be of teakwood; beams, stem, keel, and stern-post of yacal or other approved hardwood; frames of ipol; beam knees of galvanized iron.

All fastenings of copper and/or muntz-metal.

A new bronze propeller of suitable design required.

The boiler, machinery, and as many of the fittings of the old launch (which may be seen at W. S. Bailey & Co.'s yard) as possible to be used in the construction of the new launch. New smoke box, funnel, and F. W. tanks are required and the machinery must be thoroughly overhauled.

The contractor to state a time in which the launch can be completed, and the price to include everything, so that the launch will be fit and ready for use before being taken over after a satisfactory trial of two hours running at full speed.
