And notice is also given that if after the expiration of such period of one month the Governor in Council shall declare it to be expedient to grant a lease of the said Lots, such Lots will be leased, and the Crown Lease of the Lots shall be deemed to demise to the lessees the foreshore or sea bed included in such lease free and discharged from all rights, privileges, profits-à-prendre, and easements, whether public or private, which may have existed or may be claimed in or over such foreshore and sea bed, so far as is necessary for carrying out the purposes for which the land is leased.

THE British Consul at Tamsui reports that a Japanese Ship sighted a buoyant mine at 5.45 am. on 22nd September, 1919, off North Coast of Formosa for 5 miles from Kimpori, 2 miles from Arikan.

Arikan is probably the village marked ARIKYA on Admiralty Chart No. 2409.

Taku Bar: Channel Dredging Marks, provisional lighting of. NOTICE is hereby given that the Dredging Marks for the Taku Bar Channel will be lighted provisionally, on and after the 1st October and until further notice.

The Lights on these Marks will be as follows:-On each of the two inner or rear Marks a 6th Order Red Light; and on each of the two outer or front Marks a 7th Order White Light.
