Yangtze River-Kiushan Point (Round) Channel.

Shoal Water Reported.

NOTICE is hereby given that a vessel of 26 feet draught grounded at half-tide in the Kiushan Point (Round) Channel, Yangtze River, in a position from which Bend Beacon was bearing N. 34° E., magnetic, distant 15 miles. This vessel, in refloating, found the deep-water channel northward of her position of grounding, which shows that the Cooper' Bank has extended northward in this vicinity.

Steps are being taken to have the locality re-sounded so soon as opportunity permits.

Responding Fog-gun Signals-Distinguishing intervals to be changed.

NOTICE is hereby given that from the 1st November, 1919, the distinguishing inter- vals of the responding fog-gun signals at Chapel Island and Turnabout Island Light- stations will each be changed to 3 minutes.
