COMMISSION OF APPRAISEMENT AND SALE.

In the Supreme Court of Hongkong, Admiralty Jurisdiction. (L.S.)

VICTORIA, &c.

To the Bailiff of our Supreme Court of Hongkong greeting. Whereas the said Court has ordered that [state whether ship or cargo, and state name of ship, and if part only of cargo, what part] shall be appraised and sold. We, there- fore, hereby command you to reduce into writing an inventory of the said [ship or cargo &c., as the case may be], and having chosen one or more experienced person or persous to swear him or them to appraise the same according to the true value thereof, and when a certificate of such value has been reduced into writing and signed by yourself and by the appraiser or appraisers, to cause the said [ship or cargo, &c., as the case may be] to be sold by public auction for the highest price, not under the appraised value thereof, that can be obtained for the same.

And we further command you, as soon as the sale has been completed, to pay the proceeds arising therefrom into our said Court, and to file the said certificate of appraisement and an account sale signed by you, together with this commission.
