The Council met pursuant to summons.
The Minutes of the last Meeting, held on the 12th September, 1898, were read and confirmed. NEW MEMBER. Mr. POLLOCK took his seat as Acting Attorney General, after having taken the Oath prescribed by Ordinance 4 of 1869.
BILL ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE TO APPLY A SUM NOT EXCEEDING TWO MILLIONS FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND NINETY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND EIGHTY CENTS TO THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE YEAR 1899.—The Acting Colouial Secretary moved the first reading of the Bill.
The Acting Colonial Treasurer seconded. Question-put and agreed to.
