New buildings at Hok Un Kok.-The Vice-President addressed the Board with reference to some new domestic buildings at Hok Un Kok.
It was agreed that the premises should be inspected and a report submitted by the Medical Officer of Health, as to their sanitary condition, especially with refereure to their lighting and ventilation.

Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited in the Treasury the sum of $25 as a pledge of the bona fides of their tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if any tendrer fails, or refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.
The lowest or any tender may not be accepted.

70 Pairs of Boots for Gaol Staff.
1 Blue Serge Suit and 1 pair of Shoes for Messenger.
3 Blue Serge Dresses and 3 pairs of Shoes for Female Staff.
Sample of uniform may be seen, and any further information obtained, at the Gaol Office. No tender will be received unless the person tendering shall produce a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $50, as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person shall refuse to carry out his tender.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any teler.
