NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL FROM A BUSINESS.

OTICE is hereby given that with refer- ence to The Lai Hing Gold Shop, at No. 83, Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan, and its "Money-deposit" and "Money-lending" busi- ness,

the TAM YEE KUK TONG formerly had a share in it. The business was established in the Yam San Year in the Reign of Emperor TUNG CHI, and was carried on from that date up to the 15th day of the 5th Moon of the Mo Sut Year in the Reign of KwONG SHUI, (3rd July, 1898), when the account of the whole business was taken and clearly adjusted. At that time TAM YEE KUK TONG expressed his willingness to pass his share over to Kwong TAI TONG, alias KWONG LAI KING, who is also a shareholder in this business. On the 20th day of this moon, (8th July, 1898), the original capital of the share in question. and the profit due on same were paid in full by way of completing the transaction. After the share bad changed hands, the. future pro- sperity of the LAI HING or its failure, and also all debts which were due by the Shop prior to this date or may be due thereafter, in respect of money on deposits, loans, goods supplied, Money Loun Association and remittances, and acknowledgments of debts or securities for monies under the chop of the LAT HING, Bul other like responsibilities, shall not in any way affect TAM YEE KUK TONG. This notice is purposely advertised to avoid after-disputes.
