GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.--No. 726.

With reference to Government Notification No. 680 of 2nd December, 1899, it is hereby notified that the time for receiving tenders for the construction of a Block House at Kennedytown has been postponed until Noon on Monday, the 15th January next.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION. -- No 714.

Tenders will be received at this Office until Noon of Thursday, the 28th December, 1899, for the sole privilege of slaughtering animals for the food of mau within the Colony, for the year 1900.

For specification, period of contract and full particulars apply at the Offices of the Sanitary Board, "Beaconsfield.'

No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Treasury the sum of $250 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person refuses to enter into the usual bond, should the tender be accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.
