WHEREAS HC CHOO (†), alias HỮ SHUN TSUN (許順村), alias Hü Pine FoxG(許炳芳), alias Hť Nar Kwar (許乃貴), a native of Ts'in Sbán (前山鄉), in the District of Heung Shan (香山縣), in the prefecture of Kwong Chau (R), in the province of Kwong Tung (), in the Empire of China, is the managing partner of the Kwong Wai Opium Farm (A♬ ), at No. 36, Bonham Strand West, Victoria, in this Colony, and is compradore to the Government Civil Hospital, and is possessed of landed property in this Colony, and has continuously resided and done business in this Colony for the last thirty years, and has declared his intention of residing here permanently, and has petitioned to be naturalized as a British subject, within the limits of this Colony, and whereas it is expedient that he should be so naturalizel:
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Commeil thereof, as follows :~-
1. Hù Choo ( WH), alias Hi SHUN TRÙN (許順村), alias Hü PIG Fonc (許炳芳), alias HU NAI KWAI (7), shall be, and he is, hereby, naturalized as a British subject, within this Colony, and shall enjoy therein, but not elsewhere, all the rights, advantages and privileges of a British subject, on his taking the Oath of Allegiance under the Promissory Oaths Ordi- nance, 1869.
Passed the Legislative Council of Hongkong, this 11th day of October, 1899.
