NOTES.

In this table the term Flag Officer means a Naval Officer holding rank equivalent or superior to that of Rear-Admiral and General Officer means a Military Officer holding rank equivalent or superior to that of Major-General.

The precedence of visiting diplomatic and consular officials, whether representing His Majesty's Government or Foreign Governments, and the precedence of Foreign Consular representatives stationed in the Colony will be determined by the Governor on each particular occasion on which the question arises.

The following resolution of the Sanitary Board, adopted at a meeting of the Board held on the 24th November, 1931, is published for general information:-

"That, for the purpose of determining the proper fee to be charged for Special Food licences, the expression Kowloon Peninsula" in Government Notification No. 626 of 25th September, 1903, shall henceforward be deemed to mean all that area South of the red line as shewn in the plan deposited in the office of the Sanitary Board dated 20th August, 1927, for the purpose of defining the area in Kowloon to which the Scavenging and Conservancy By-laws apply."

NOTES:By G.N. No. 626 of 1903 it was notified that, under the powers conferred by section 77 (now section 78) of Ordinance No. 1 of 1903, the following fees for licences for the sale, in places outside a public market, of articles of food for man usually sold or exposed for sale in a public market, would in future be charged in respect of the City of Victoria and the Kowloon Peninsula,—
