No. 593.-His Excellency the Governor has, under instructions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, been pleased to appoint Mr. EDWIN TAYLOR to be Colonial Treasurer, Collector of Stamp Revenue, and Assessor of Rates, and to be the Commissioner to carry out the provisions of the Estate Duty Ordinance, 1915, in place of Mr. CHARLES MOLLVAINE MESSER, O.B.E., retired, with effect from the 28th June, 1931.

SUPREME COURT.

No. 595.—The Offices of the Supreme Court will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the Long Vacation, except on Public and General Holidays, when they will be entirely closed, and on Saturdays, when they will be open from 10 a.m. to noon, subject however, to the provisions of section 5 of the Supreme Court (Vacations) Ordi- nance, 1898, so far as relates to the Criminal Sessions. The Long Vacation commence on the 20th instant, and terminates on the 17th October, 1931, (both days inclusive).
