The rainfall for the month of August at the Botanical Gardens was 13ins. ·64 on 21 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 13ins. 54 on 17 days, at Fanling, 12ins. 84 on 15 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 11ius. 88 on 23 days.
