No. 185.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint RICHARD EDWARD TOTTENHAM, M.D., F.R.C.P.I., F.C.O.G., D.P.II., Professor of Obstetrics to the University of Hong Kong, to be Obstetric Physician to the Government Civil Hospital, with effect from 1st April, 1931.

No. 186. It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS MEGARRY to be a Magistrate under the provisions of section 7 of the Magistrates Ordinance, 1890, Ordinance No. 3 of 1890, with effect from 23rd March, 1931.

His Excellency the Governor has further been pleased to authorise Mr. Thomas Megarry, under the provisions of section 58 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 34 of 1910, to hold a Small Debts Court in the New Territories at the following places :-

The Magistracy, Tai Po, the Land Office, Ping Shan, and the charge rooms of the Police Stations at Au Tau, Ping Shan, Sha Tau Kok, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, Sheung Shui, Lok Ma Chau and Castle Peak, with effect from 23rd March, 1931.

No. 187. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS MEGARRY to be District Officer in the Northern District of the New Territories, with effect from 28th March, 1931.

No. 188. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. GEORGE ALEXANDER WALKER to act as Manager of the Railway during the absence on leave of Mr. ROBERT BAKER, with effect from the 28th March, 1931.

No. 189.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the following Committee to advise him regarding applications under the Companies Ordinance, 1911, (as amended by the Companies Ordinance, 1930), for authority to act as Auditors in respect of Companies, other than China Companies, registered under the principal Ordi- nance, which keep their accounts in English:
