No. 169. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to re-appoint Captain ERNEST BETTOM DEAKIN, D.S.O., M.C., Army Educational Corps, to be a Member of the Board of Education for a further period of two years, with effect from 22nd March, 1931.

No. 170. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CHARLES HENRY THOMPSON to act as Deputy Shipping Master during the absence on leave of Mr. GEORGE WILLIAM COYSH, with effect from the 28th March, 1931.

No. 171.--Notice is hereby given that the Governor proposes to make an order under the Streets (Alteration) Ordinance, 1923, for the permanent closure of the road leading from the Eastern Entrance of the Kowloon Hospital northwards to the Temple (on K.I.L. 1437) near the junction of Boundary Street and Prince Edward Road and immediately to the South of K.I.L. 1594.

Any person objecting to the proposed order must send his objection in writing to the Colonial Secretary so as to reach the office of the Colonial Secretary not later than the 15th day of April, 1931.

Such objection must state the reasons therefor and specify the property with regard to the ownership or occupation of which such objection is made and the interest therein. of the objector.
