The rainfall for the month of February at the Botanical Gardens was Oin. 74 on 12 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was in. 55 on 7 days, at Fanling, Oin. 87 on 6 days, at the Royal Naval Hospital, Hong Kong, Oin. 55 on 4 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, lin. 02 on 12 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 786 at 16h. on the 5th. The maximum gust velocity of the wind, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 45 miles per hour at 23h, 49m. on the 28th.
