The rainfall for the month of December at the Botanical Gardens was lins. 23 on 8 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was lins. 21 on 9 days, at Fanling, 1in. 56 on 5 days, at the Royal Naval Hospital, Hong Kong, 1ins. 16 on 6 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, lins. 45 on 7 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 918 at 4h. on the 1st.
The maximum gust velocity, as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 46 miles per hour at Sh. 15m. on the 31st.
