Order made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Importation and Exportation Ordinance, 1915, Ordinance No. 32 of 1915, on the 4th day of December,

1919.

The following rule is added to the rules made by the Governor in Council under sections 3 and 4 of the above Ordinance :-

50.-(1.) No person shall, except under licence obtained for that purpose from the Superintendent of Imports and Exports, import any of the follow- ing dyes and dyestuffs, except such as are the produce or manufacture of any part of the British Empire :-

(i.) All derivatives of coal tar generally known as intermediate products capable of being used or adapted for use as dye- stuffs, or of being modified or further manufactured into dyestuffs.

(ii) All direct cotton colours, all union colours, all acid colours, all chrome and mordant colours, all alizarine colours, all basic colours, all sulphide colours, all vat colours (including synthetic indigo), all oil, spirit, and wax colours, all lake colours, and any other synthetic colours, dyes, stains, colour acids, colour lakes, leuco acids, or leuco bases, whether in paste, powder, solution or any other form.

(2.) This rule shall not apply to transit or transhipment cargo.

It is hereby further notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to exclude the Police Magistrates' Department from the operation of the Holidays Ordinance, 1912, Ordinance No. 5 of 1912, on the 2nd and 3rd January, 3rd and 5th April, 24th May, 7th June, 2nd August, 11th October, 8th November, and 27th December.
