Time Signals.
ROYAL OBSERVATORY,
Commencing with January 1st, 1920, the Time Ball on Kowloon Signal Hill will be dropped daily at 10 a.m. (120th Meridian Time) instead of at 1 p.m.
It will also be dropped at 4 p.m., except on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. On Saturdays it will be dropped at 1 p.m. instead of at 4 p.m.
The Ball will be hoisted half mast at the 55th minute and full mast at the 57th minute.
Should the Time Ball be out of order the above routine will be carried out with the flag "Z", on the Storm Signal mast.
Time Signals will also be given at night by means of three white lamps mounted vertically on the Observatory wireless mast. From 8h 56m 0 to 9h 0m 0 p.m. (120th Meridian Time) the lamps will be extinguished momentarily at the even seconds, except at the 2nd, 28th, 50th, 52nd and 54th of each minute.

It is hereby notified that, by command of His Excellency the Governor, and pursuant to Section 10 of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 9 of 1911, an Election by the Justices of the Peace of a Justice of the Peace to serve on the Licensing Board for three years, cice Mr. AUGUSTUS SHELTON HOOPER, resigned, will take place in the Office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court on Monday, the 1st day of December, 1919, commencing at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The election will be conducted in accordance with the Rules published in the Gazette dated the 7th January, 1910..
Forms of Nomination may be obtained at the Magistracy.
Every nomination must be personally handed to the undersigned by the candidate or by his nominator or seconder not later than 4 o'clock on Wednesday, the 26th day of November, 1919.
The only persons entitled to vote at the Election are the Justices of the Peace. Voting will commence at 4 pan. and continue until 5.30 p.m. when the ballot-box will be closed.
