NOTICES.
COLONIAL SECRETARY'S Department.
No. 445. His Excellency Sir REGINALD EDWARD STUBBS, K.C.M.G., will arrive in the S.S. Khiva on the morning of Tuesday, the 30th September, and will land at Blake Pier at 10 a.m.
A salute of 17 guns will be fired.
Members of the Executive and Legislative Councils, the Judges, members of the foreign Consular bodies, Naval and Military Officers, and Heads of Departments are invited to be present at the pier.
A Guard of Honour formed of members of the Hongkong Defence Corps will parade at Blake Pier at 9.45 a.m.
His Excellency will proceed to the City Hall where he will be received by represent- atives of the Community, by whom an address will be presented. The public are invited to be present.
His Excellency will then proceed to the Council Chamber where the Commission will be read, and the oaths will be administered by His Honour the Chief Justice. The National Anthem will be played and a salute of 17 guns will be fired.
No. 446.--The following Finding of the Marine Court of Enquiry held on the 22nd September, 1919, to enquire into the circumstances of misconduct on the part of Mr. F. J. TWOMEY, Third Officer of the British Steamship Jason, is published for general information.
FINDING.
We find that Mr. FREDERIC JOHN TWOMEY, Third Mate of the British Steamship Jason, Official Number 115297 of Liverpool, the number of whose Certificate of Compe- tency as First Mate is 0010523 issued at Swansea, did refuse to continue to perform his duty on board the said ship on the 4th day of September, 1919, while officer of the watch, the ship being in pilotage waters. ·
We therefore adjudge him, the said FREDERIC JOHN TWOMEY to have his Certificate of Competency suspended for six months from the date hereof.
